How much fun was REBar Camp in Fredericksburg, VA? It was an adventure just getting there thanks to 8" of snow in Lynchburg but if the McGillicuddy's can drive all the way from New Hampshire, we could drive two hours.
Happy Hour at Bonefish on Monday night
We were glad to meet up with several Activerain friends, old and new and it was a pleasure to meet Hilary Marsh, NAR Managing Director for REALTOR.org and Todd Carpenter, the new Social Media Manager at NAR.
REBCVA was a full day of presentations and sessions in the beautiful FAAR building. So much information: YEO, SEO, titles & tags, social networking and applying it to the Real Estate industry. Brad Carroll (who many of us have to thank for our Activerain Blog Headers) of danko marketing was on hand live streaming REBCVA. Daniel Rothamel's presentation on Whuffie kept me busy taking two pages of notes (Finally, something I learned about before my kids!).
Pat Kennedy, you weren't alone in the Twitter department, Kathy and I were a bit intimidated ourselves. During the twitter session with @gotbob, we learned all kinds of new terms: tweet deck, twitterwiki & twirl and I took several more pages of notes.
Jeff Turner gave the analogy that twitter is like attending a cocktail party, listening in to conversations, how to behave, joining in and it made sense.

Many thanks to everyone involved in putting together the REbar Camp in Fredericksburg. There are more (rebarcamp.com) events planned - you can't know what you're missing if you don't attend.

Debbie, Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures. Look forward to attending one of these events.
Hi Debbie - Leave it to the Zebra to build a presentation around Whuffie. Daniel always has some great ideas, and his post about Twitter a little over a year ago really helped me see its potential. Thanks for sharing the pics, too!
Wow, sounds like a lot of fun... Sorry I missed this one...

Debbie - thanks for sharing all the good time! I know it was a great event and next time I am crashing in! :)
Debbie: Sounds like it was not only a good time, but very enlightening, too...a winning combination! All that Twitter stuff is wayyyy over my head, and I fear will remain so. I'm trying to figure out ways to simplify...not add more to the cacophony.
Debbie it looks like you had a great time and got to meet a few online friends in the process!!
Cool pictures Debbie. We had a great time at #REBCVA and enjoyed meeting you IRL!!!!
Debbie, I just found this post. I am so behind the times here at AR. I need to get to it. We had such a great time. I think I we had the perfect number of people to be intimate and learn a lot of great information.
