Debbie, there are so many schools here that are closed, it is pathetic. BTW, I love the new picture.

Debbie, this brings back memories as a kid, I used to love to listen to the school closing report at night and I was always dissapointed when they only anounced the closings in the morning...I still had to get ready:)) I guess this is something kids in Southern California do not experience:)))

Thank you Danny! It surprises me when a county closes school for a day or two. But, we do have some country roads and black ice is so dangerous, I can understand the extra caution.

Hi Endre, Same for me! We had to get ready just in case and listen to the radio in the morning. Growing up in Massachusetts, we always hoped school would be closed, but we went most of the time - in the snow. I'm sure So Cal residents wouldn't know what to make of it! Thanks for stopping by.

Debbie - good to see you! I am not sure if they are closing schools here yet but we are expected to get 1-3 inches. Which NEVER happens....we shall see

Hi Naoma! I am so glad to see you back on Activerain! I'm sure you are loving your new job and getting to work with Charlie. We're suppose to get some snow too, I hope they don't roll up the sidewalks!

Pat, I am glad to be back home. I don't think I would do too well with the amount of snow you're getting. My brother keeps me updated. Hope spring comes early this year! Thanks for stopping by.
