Debbie ~ Great photo., I have heard of many people in Southern Maryland speak about Smith Mountain Lake, but I have not had the privilege yet to visit!

What a lovely photo..It reminds me of one of my favorite shots of the Rockefeller Preserve in Sleepy Hollow... The leaves haven't turned yet where you are!

Thanks for all of your comments. This was taken when I stopped at a rest area on my last trip home. Not sure, but I think it was somewhere in Pennsylvania. Just a gorgeous view I had to take a photo!

Debbie, Long Island is so FLAT.  I always love seeing mountains, they are gorgeous.

Debbie, That's a beautiful view!  Like Long Island we are flat, flat, flat.  Growing up in Kansas I'm use to flat though.
